Before we say his name, consider this: a filly that sold for $775,000 at the 2025 Western Bloodstock NCHA Futurity Sale. The 2024 NCHA Open Horse of the Year carries his name. A gelding with over $800,000 in earnings was inducted into the NCHA Hall of Fame — and he’s a son of one of the mares in this very book. Kenny Platt has won over a million dollars on his offspring. James Payne keeps coming back. Over $6.5 million in progeny earnings and counting.

That’s Hashtags. And his 2026 book just closed. What follows are just some of the highlights.

The numbers don’t lie, and neither does the pedigree page. Hashtags’ 2026 breeding season book is officially full — and one look at some of the mares that filled it tells you everything you need to know about where this stallion stands in the cutting horse industry.

From $1.8 million producers to NCHA Futurity Champions and World Champions in multiple disciplines, the mares booked to Hashtags this season represent some of the most respected bloodlines and proven genetics in the business.

Too Hot

Hottish × Reycy Moon

One of the most anticipated matings of the 2026 season is undoubtedly Too Hot. The headliner dam on any list, Too Hot is the dam of Too Hot To Tagg — the $802,847-earning NCHA Hall of Fame inductee, 2024 NCHA Open Futurity Champion and 2025 NCHA Derby Champion. Her foal record speaks for itself, and breeders looking to create a full sibling to one of the sport’s most exciting horses had their opportunity here. This cross is a proven commodity.

Blackish

Hottish × SS Blacks Lil Kitty

Blackish has earned $400,196 herself, but her legacy as a producer is what makes her truly special. She is the dam of Minkish — the 2025 NCHA Futurity Open Champion with $782,044 in earnings. Breeding to Hashtags gives breeders a chance to tap into a dam family that is defining the modern open futurity division.

Donas Cool Cat

High Brow Cat × Sweet Peppy Again

The legendary mare has produced more than $1.8 million in offspring earnings, including standout performers such as Cool N Hot, whose own earnings exceeded $435,000. Donas Cool Cat is one of the most decorated producing mares in the industry’s history. Her produce record includes multiple NCHA Hall of Fame qualifiers, futurity champions, and earners across every level of competition. This is generational genetics at its finest.

Cinca Im Hot

Spots Hot × Cinca De Maya

Owned by Rocking P Ranch, Cinca Im Hot has earned $265,969 herself and produced a stunning $464,279 in foal earnings, including Cinca Cat ($132,149), Metallic Cincin Up ($130,900), and Metallic Im Hot ($130,422). Her family has proven itself at every major event on the NCHA calendar and this cross is one that has been proven.

Seca Rey Lena

Dual Rey × Seca Little Lena

Seca Rey Lena has produced 16 money earners totaling $424,522, including Metallic Little Cat ($153,486) and Most Valuable Rey ($100,461). Her family continues to produce at an elite level with multiple offspring competing at the biggest shows.

Miss Priss Pepto

Peptoboonsmal × Prissie Cat

With $282,333 in total foal earnings, Miss Priss Pepto has proven herself as one of the more consistent broodmares in the industry. Her influence on this book goes beyond the show pen — her Hashtags filly Carbonated, trained by Andy Sherrerd, sold for $775,000 as the high seller of the 2025 Western Bloodstock NCHA Futurity Sale. She hasn’t even set foot in the show pen yet, and the market already decided what she’s worth. That number says everything about what the industry thinks of the Hashtags daughter — and about where buyer confidence in this stallion truly stands.

One Nite In Ft Worth

Once In A Blu Boon × Fort Worth Pipeline

This $241,700-earning mare is owned by Kathleen Moore, and her place in this book comes with one of the most compelling endorsements in the industry. James Payne — who has shown Jazlyn, one of Hashtags’ biggest and most decorated offspring with over $500,000 in earnings — also showed CW Para Bellum, the $70,224-earning Hashtags son out of Checks For Cats. That alone would be a strong vote of confidence. But Payne didn’t stop there. This year, he booked Checks For Cats back to Hashtags himself — a trainer putting his own breeding decisions where his mouth is. When one of the sport’s elite trainers keeps coming back to the same stallion on multiple mares, that’s conviction.

Oooh La La

Rollz Royce × A Little Loopsie

A daughter of Rollz Royce and A Little Loopsie (Metallic Cat), Oooh La La has earned $132,356 including a 12th place finish at the NCHA Futurity and a strong showing at the 2023 NCHA Super Stakes. Still actively competing for owner Kathleen Moore, she brings both performance and pedigree depth to the book.

Little Black Boon

Duals Blue Boon × Christy Lenas Choice

Little Black Boon has earned $119,231 herself and produced $291,528 in foal earnings, including Suppose To Be Black ($151,775) and Metallic Obsession ($56,133). Her produce record spans multiple disciplines and proves her ability to nick with elite sire power.

Sues So Hott

Hottish × Sues So Smart

Sues So Hott carries a connection that cutting horse fans will immediately recognize — she is currently owned by Kenny Platt and is being shown by his son Carter. The Platt family is no stranger to Hashtags offspring. Kenny Platt alone has won over a million dollars on Hashtags’ get, and having Sues So Hott in this book is a statement of confidence from one of the sport’s most accomplished trainer families.

Nicole L G

Reyzin The Cash × Betz

Nicole L G has been one of the most talked-about young mares in competition recently, earning $48,522 with a standout performance that included winning both the Non-Pro and the Open 4-Year-Old Championship with Clay Johnson at The Non Pro Cutting with a 224.5. She is active, talented, and in the right hands.

Nikita is just really starting to hit her stride in her show career, and we couldn’t be more excited about what she’s doing in the pen with Clay. But we believe in this cross. Reyzin The Cash daughters have been crossing exceptionally well on Metallic Cat, and Hashtags is a son of Metallic Cat — so we think that cross is going to do just fine. We’re excited to see what this foal brings.

Wares The Hottie

Hottish × Holidayware

Owned and campaigned by Haven and Shelby Meged, Wares The Hottie has earned $151,927 — predominantly in breakaway roping and calf roping, where she has been a multiple-time futurity champion. A proven futurity mare in a high-demand discipline crossing to one of cutting’s most in-demand stallions is a combination that checks every box. This mare captured the 2025 AQHA Senior World Championship title with Haven Meged.

We’ve seen what these Hashtags horses can do in the roping pen — Marty Yates has two really nice ones, and his good bay horse Snoop got him qualified to the NFR last year. And then you look at what the Hashtags cross on Hottish daughters keeps producing — it just keeps showing up. Wares The Hottie is special, and putting her to Hashtags made all the sense in the world to us. It’s gonna be good.

Reyzmehot

Hottish × Sigourney Rey

Reyzmehot has earned $74,242 and produced $112,367 in foal earnings, including Rebeljusforkix ($60,662) and Country Money ($51,705). Her foals have consistently made their marks at major cutting events.

I’ve had my hands on enough Hashtags horses to know what this stallion can do. He produces athletes. Smart, correct, cow-savvy horses that hold up and compete. When the opportunity came to breed Reyzmehot to him — she’s a daughter of Hottish, and pairs to be one of Hashtags’ best crosses — it wasn’t a hard decision. The cross makes sense on paper and it makes sense when you’ve seen what he throws. I’m excited about this foal.

— Wes Ashlock Trained the Hashtags × All Spice filly (sold for $335,000 as a yearling at the 2024 Western Bloodstock NCHA Futurity Sale) and showed Ms Milania (Hashtags × Little Miss One Time, LTE $250,000+) to a 5th-place finish at the NCHA Open Futurity

Next Stopp Paris

Dont Stopp Believin × Post Card From Paris

A daughter of Dont Stopp Believin and Post Card From Paris (Light N Lena), Next Stopp Paris has earned $88,818 with major results at the NCHA Super Stakes ($30,821, 3rd place) and the Breeders Invitational. Currently owned by Jeremy Barwick and Kobie Wood, she was campaigned by the Rapp Family and offers a unique pedigree outcross that breeders have been looking for.

Hot Baby Sister

Spots Hot × Little Baby Sister

Hot Baby Sister may not have earnings of her own, but her dam Little Baby Sister has produced $1.6 million in progeny earnings — including NCHA Hall of Fame inductee Sister CD ($852,710) — making her one of the most powerful producing families in the cutting horse breed. Hot Baby Sister is already proving she inherited that ability, with Splendid Splinter — a 2022 Badboonarising son out of her — currently sitting at $90,812 in earnings with his derby career just getting started. Pair that dam family with Hashtags and you have a cross that could produce something very special. The bloodlines on both sides of this pedigree have a track record of making horses that win.

Mighty Fine Merada

Cats Merada × Mighty Fine Pepto

Mighty Fine Merada is the dam of FS Fine Lil Hashtag — an $86,308 earner who has excelled at the amateur level including a win at the NCHA Super Stakes Classic Intermediate Amateur. The Hashtags × Cats Merada cross has already proven itself, and breeders circled back to go to the well again.

Checks For Cats

Im Countin Checks × Charmed Cat

Checks For Cats is the dam of CW Para Bellum — a 2021 Hashtags son who has earned $70,224 with multiple wins at the Brazos Bash, Cattlemen’s, and The Non Pro Cutting, shown by James and Nadine Payne. That success was clearly not lost on Payne, who made the decision to book Checks For Cats back to Hashtags again in 2026. A trainer of his caliber repeating a cross is one of the most telling signs of belief in a stallion you’ll find in this industry.

Hot Believe

Spots Hot × Cat Believe It

Hot Believe is the dam of Silver Thread ($58,301) and Getaway Carr ($24,320), giving her foal earnings totaling $82,621. The Hashtags × Spots Hot daughter cross is a proven combination in the modern cutting horse arena, and her inclusion in this book was an intentional, calculated decision.

An Industry Stallion That Breeders Believe In

Look, when you see a mare book like this come together, you know you’re doing something right. These aren’t just good mares — these are the kind of mares people wait years to get a shot at. We’ve got $1.8 million producers, futurity champions, and sale toppers. The breeders that have believed in Hashtags from the beginning are still here, and now we’re seeing new ones come in too. Over $6.5 million in progeny earnings doesn’t happen by accident. This horse can flat produce a winner, and the people in this industry are seeing it.

— Hunter Meinzer Hashtag Ventures, LP

A Legacy Built One Cross at a Time

What Hashtags has built over the course of his stud career is not an accident. It’s the result of consistently producing offspring that can handle cows, compete at the highest level, and earn their owners’ trust in the biggest arenas in the sport.
